Senate Intelligence Committee to examine election threats

The Senate Intelligence Committee has announced a May 15 hearing on foreign threats to 2024 elections, during which the emerging risks from AI are likely to be discussed.

The public hearing, described as an “update” for senators, will include testimony from National Intelligence Director Avril Haines and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency Director Jen Easterly. FBI assistant director for national security Larissa Knapp is also slated to testify.
