AI security firm finds disregard for governance policies in survey of U.S. workplaces

The security firm CalypsoAI has issued an “Insider AI Threat Report” finding a substantial disconnect between company rules on artificial intelligence and actual usage, and a wide variance in views between corporate management and employees.

“These numbers should be a wake-up call,” Donnchadh Casey, CEO of CalypsoAI, says in an Aug. 20 release. “We’re seeing executives racing to implement AI without fully understanding the risks, frontline employees using it unsupervised, and even trusted security professionals breaking their own rules....
