Coalition against moratorium on state AI legislation covers wide range of issues

Opposition to a Republican effort to stop the enforcement of state legislation addressing artificial intelligence for a period of 10 years has united a notable AI “safety” group, with consumer advocates, labor unions and a broad collection of other civil society stakeholders on a letter to House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) and Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY).
