Civil rights groups seek key fix to Thune-Klobuchar bill on AI accountability

The Artificial Intelligence Research, Innovation and Accountability Act will fall short of its goal unless a small, but important change, is made to the bill’s definition of “high-impact” AI, according to civil society groups reacting to its passage last week by the Senate Commerce Committee.
