DHS ‘roadmap’ for AI kicks off with pilot projects intended to demonstrate responsible use in core missions

The Department of Homeland Security has released “Roadmap 2024” to guide artificial intelligence efforts at DHS, including plans to deploy AI in three pilot projects on investigations, immigration officer training, and disaster planning that are teed up as testing grounds for responsible use of the technology by the federal government.
