Brookings’ Kerry details need for collaboration on global AI standards

The United States, its allies and China have reason to collaborate on ensuring effective technical standards around artificial intelligence, according to Cameron Kerry, a visiting fellow at the Brookings Institution and former Commerce Department leader, who urges more funding for standards work and less panic about China’s role in standards bodies.
