Public Citizen wants antitrust policymakers to issue guidelines on the effect of AI-enabled searches

The integration of large language models for artificial intelligence into search engines by corporate giants has the potential to fundamentally diminish the internet experience, according to a letter from consumer advocates asking regulators and lawmakers to investigate the matter and share guidelines to mitigate harm as use of the technology evolves.
