Software industry seeks revisions to Connecticut’s sweeping AI legislation
The software industry is urging state lawmakers in Connecticut to clarify the legal obligations of AI developers and users under a pending state Senate proposal, in advance of a key committee hearing on Feb. 29.
BSA-The Software Alliance “urges lawmakers to craft workable AI legislation that addresses high-risk uses of AI and reflects the important distinction between developers and deployers of AI systems,” said BSA senior vice president of government relations Craig Albright in a Feb. 22 statement.
