Sens. Young, Schatz offer bipartisan bill for AI public education campaign

Sens. Todd Young (R-IN) and Brian Schatz (D-HI) have introduced the AI Public Awareness and Education Act to raise awareness and boost confidence in artificial intelligence technologies.

Young introduced a similar bill last year based on the findings of a report by a Senate bipartisan AI working group, co-chaired by Young, that hosted a series of closed-door meetings with industry and other stakeholders on the government’s role to promote AI development.
