NIST posts ‘notice of intent’ on AI-related funding opportunity under CHIPS Act

The National Institute of Standards and Technology on July 9 posted a “notice of intent” to announce a new funding opportunity under the CHIPS and Science Act for “new research and development activities to establish and accelerate domestic capacity for semiconductor advanced packaging,” including “a specific opportunity for prototype development in exemplar application areas such as high-performance computing and low-power systems needed for AI.”
