Moolenaar hopeful outbound investment restrictions can make final NDAA

House China select committee Chairman John Moolenaar (R-MI) on Oct. 16 said he was hopeful that the final version of the fiscal 2026 National Defense Authorization Act will include restrictions on outbound investment to China, an outcome he is actively working to secure, Inside U.S. Trade reported.

Congress has for years been considering legislation aimed at restricting U.S. investment in sensitive Chinese technological sectors.
