Lawsuit questions AI efficacy in security system

A class-action lawsuit by shareholders accuses Evolv Technologies of violating federal securities laws by making misleading statements about the efficacy of an AI-powered security screening system for detecting weapons.

The allegations in the lawsuit stem from a 2022 incident at a Utica, NY high school in which a student, despite passing through the Evolv security system, entered Proctor High School armed with a knife and assaulted another student, inflicting multiple stab wounds.
