Defense Dept. intelligence agency pilots AI model validation system

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, a Department of Defense entity, is piloting a program to accredit artificial intelligence models and create a unified validation system across the agency, director Vice Adm. Frank Whitworth said Aug. 30, Inside Defense reported.

The Accreditation of GEOINT AI Models, or AGAIM, will evaluate the “methodology and robustness” of an AI model’s development and test procedures, Whitworth said at a Defense Writers Group breakfast.
