Business Roundtable’s manufacturing roadmap flags tax, permitting issues key to AI

A new report from the Business Roundtable lays out a policy roadmap for revitalizing U.S. manufacturing, with tax, energy and permitting reforms among the provisions with artificial intelligence implications.

The report from BRT’s CEOs was released Oct. 14.

It calls for steps such as “immediate R&D expensing, and full expensing for investments in equipment, machinery and technology,” streamlined permitting and investment in energy infrastructure, all of which would benefit AI buildout and adoption.
