Business coalition urges Trump to open foreign markets for U.S. AI products

A White House action plan on artificial intelligence expected to be published this summer should prioritize work with partners to open foreign markets to U.S. AI and AI-enabled products, business groups told President Trump this week.

Trump on Jan. 23 issued an executive order on “Removing barriers to American leadership in artificial intelligence” that directed several presidential advisers to develop an AI action plan within 180 days. Stakeholder comments on the action plan are due by March 15.
