Alabama governor signs order to eye 'benefit' of generative AI for state agencies
Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey (R) has signed an executive order to investigate and “harness” the potential benefits of generative AI technologies for state agencies, according to a Feb. 8 announcement from the governor’s office.
Executive Order 738 establishes the Governor’s Task Force on GenAI, to be appointed by the governor which will include seven cabinet members, two representatives from Alabama higher education and four legislators – two state representatives and two state senators.
