White House examining agencies’ AI risk assessments to determine regulatory gaps

The Biden administration is advancing in familiar fashion its plan to promote trustworthy artificial intelligence systems, with White House officials examining the risk assessments federal agencies submitted under a comprehensive executive order for areas where regulatory authority might need to be exercised or facilitated by legislation.
