U.S. Chamber, industry groups seek extension to comment on NIST tasks under Biden AI order

Major industry groups are asking the National Institute of Standards and Technology to extend a Feb. 2 deadline for comments on the agency’s efforts under President Biden’s artificial intelligence executive order in areas including guidelines, standards and best practices, reducing risks linked to synthetic content, and U.S. global leadership.
