U.S. AI developers spell out stronger export controls for limiting access to chips

Frontier AI developers OpenAI and Anthropic are proposing new chips used for training and applying AI models be added to the list of those banned from export to China, with the former company also suggesting allied nations be banned from using AI chips made by Huawei.
