Tech leader: Pre-emption of state algorithmic discrimination rules on table for GOP privacy working group

House Energy and Commerce Committee Republicans crafting legislation to pre-empt state privacy laws have discussed inclusion of language that would set aside restrictions on algorithmic discrimination, according to a tech industry leader who acknowledged that the effort is in the early stages.
