Tech industry takes aim at copyright protections for AI training data in comments to regulators

A major coalition of tech industry companies is rejecting calls for copyright protections on the massive amounts of data used to train generative artificial intelligence models, in comments to the U.S. Copyright Office as it considers whether new rules or legislation are needed.
