Tech industry fears GSA plan to prioritize AI for FedRAMP will harm existing businesses

The tech industry is urging the General Services Administration to significantly revise its plan for prioritizing generative artificial intelligence products for approval by the government’s FedRAMP system for secure cloud services purchased by federal agencies, asking for assurances the prioritization will not exacerbate a current backlog of companies seeking approval or create a “skip the line” approach for emerging technologies over existing products.
