Stakeholders identify opportunities to use artificial intelligence for combatting cyber crime

SAN FRANCISCO. The use of artificial intelligence has accelerated cyber crime opportunities for bad actors, while also providing new capabilities for defenders, according to stakeholders on a panel here at the RSA conference.

“We’ve seen an evolution in the past 10 years to ‘cyber crime as a service,’” Microsoft’s Sean Farrell said on an April 30 panel, which has broadened the ecosystem to everyone who wants to participate.
