Software group calls on New York state lawmakers to pull back AI bill

The Software and Information Industry Association is raising concerns about elements in artificial intelligence legislation introduced in the New York state legislature, citing vague definitions of key terms such as “critical harm” and “safety incident” and saying the measure exposes AI developers to “unreasonable liability.”
