Sens. Hawley and Warner team up on bill to assess AI jobs impact

Sens. Josh Hawley (R-MO) and Mark Warner (D-VA) have introduced a bill requiring quarterly reports to the Labor Department on layoffs, hires and retraining attributable to artificial intelligence -- and vacant positions that won’t be filled, thanks to AI -- from publicly traded companies and for consideration of extending the requirements to non-publicly traded companies.
