Senate Republicans’ election committee urges FCC to scrap rule on AI, political advertising

The election arm for Senate Republicans is calling on the Federal Communications Commission to withdraw its proposal to require disclosure when artificial intelligence is used in political advertising, saying such a rule would violate the First Amendment, exceed the FCC’s authority and impose bad policy that would inhibit innovation and deepen regulatory fragmentation.
