Senate Homeland Security Democrats approve sweeping AI procurement reforms

The Senate Homeland Security Committee approved without any Republican support a bipartisan bill that would codify White House guidelines for agencies on purchasing safe and secure artificial intelligence, among other sweeping requirements with major implications for tech companies given the government’s purchasing power.
