Senate Commerce advances Trusty nomination for Republican seat on FCC

The Senate Commerce Committee has voted 21-7 to confirm Olivia Trusty for the third Republican seat on the Federal Communications Commission, which will give the body a 3-2 GOP majority for the first time during President Trump’s second term once her nomination is approved by the full Senate.
