Sen. Murphy: ‘Start with social media’ in regulating ‘unprecedented’ AI risks

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) says advanced artificial intelligence poses potentially catastrophic threats to children, mental health, jobs and the creative sector, among many others at risk, and argues policymakers must get moving on first steps such as controls on social media to protect kids, guard against deep fakes, and secure intellectual property.
