Sen. Blackburn rejects Google’s explanation for ‘harmful hallucinations’

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) says Google has failed to address or take responsibility for “heinous criminal allegations” fabricated by its Gemma large language model, after the tech giant explained in a response to the senator that technical issues caused the “hallucinations” produced by an LLM which was designed for developers rather than for public queries.
