Researchers urge mandatory AI incident reporting based on cybersecurity lessons

A new report by researchers at Georgetown University’s Center for Security and Emerging Technology recommends lawmakers and regulators require mandatory industry reporting of the harms caused by artificial intelligence incidents, based on current systems for cybersecurity reporting, arguing such information will further research on the safe and trustworthy uses of AI.
