Patent and Trademark Office to issue guidance on how existing rules cover issues raised by AI

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office sees its existing rules as sufficient to deal with challenges currently raised by artificial intelligence, according to the office’s director, and will soon issue public guidance on the applicability of these rules to AI uses.
