OpenAI calls for more reporting to better understand AI’s impact on jobs

Frontier artificial intelligence labs and governments should provide ongoing reports in efforts to measure how the technology’s emergence is affecting the availability of jobs, according to OpenAI.

“Understanding how AI is concretely impacting the world makes it easier to steer this technology towards positive impact,” the leading AI developer said in a Nov. 6 post of “progress and recommendations,” which includes a call for “Ongoing reporting and measurement from the frontier labs and governments on the impacts of AI.”...
