NTIA, DOE launch inquiry to support the growth, security of data centers critical to AI

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration and the Department of Energy have jointly issued a request for information to learn how they might securely facilitate a growing demand for data centers crucial to developing and maintaining artificial intelligence.

“Critical and emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) have accelerated demands for more computing infrastructure,” reads a Sept. 4 notice the agencies posted in the Federal Register, providing 60 days to comment.
