NSA readies guidance for detecting ‘deepfakes’ ahead of election

The National Security Agency’s AI Security Center is preparing to release guidance for detecting “deepfakes” generated by artificial intelligence ahead of this year’s election, as part of the recently formed research group’s broader mission of countering AI threats.
