NIST’s revised privacy framework seeks to mitigate AI data processing risks

The National Institute of Standards and Technology has issued draft revisions to its privacy framework that in part are intended to mitigate the risks from data processing in artificial intelligence systems.

“As a tool designed for all technologies, Privacy Framework 1.1 can assist organizations with identifying and managing privacy risks that can arise from data processing within AI systems throughout the AI lifecycle,” says the initial draft update released April 14.
