NIST expects ‘phased’ rollout for landmark draft of AI cybersecurity profile

ROCKVILLE, MD. A National Institute of Standards and Technology official said an initial draft of a landmark cyber AI profile will likely be issued in portions to facilitate further feedback from certain stakeholders, as the agency works to release a full plan possibly this fall.

NIST is likely to adopt this phased approach to releasing its proposed AI profile in response to a sense of urgency for security guidance from developers and users of emerging artificial intelligence technologies.
