New York lawmakers fail to adopt AI disclosure rules amid end-of-year scramble

The New York legislature failed to adopt disclosure requirements for generative artificial intelligence systems amid a final push last week to close out this year’s legislative session, which included final passage of a budget deal that will fund Gov. Kathy Hochul’s (D) AI research hub.
