Mozilla makes case for ‘public AI’ to counter market concentration

The nonprofit tech company Mozilla in a new report urges development of a “public AI” ecosystem as a counterweight to a few major technology companies controlling the development and deployment of artificial intelligence and to promote “de facto” safety standards in the absence of formal regulation.
