Microsoft launches ‘Zero Day Quest’ competition to identify AI vulnerabilities

Microsoft has announced a $4 million “largest of its kind” hacking competition aimed at identifying artificial intelligence and cloud vulnerabilities, with a major onsite event planned for 2025 at the company’s Redmond, WA campus.

Both the development and deployment of AI technologies are prime targets for nation-state and other hackers and have been the focus of security efforts at the Department of Homeland Security, the National Institute of Standards and Technology and other arms of the U.S. government....
