Major tech firms at Paris AI summit unveil open-source tool to protect children

Big tech companies including OpenAI, Microsoft, Meta and Mozilla unveiled, at start of the Paris AI summit this week, a new open-source tool intended to protect children from online exploitive content, marking a major private-sector initiative at a time when governments including the U.S. appear to be pulling back on setting regulatory AI safeguards.
