ITI leaders identify extensive benefits in AI executive order, seek commitment to risk-based approach

The Biden administration’s executive order on artificial intelligence takes important steps to balance innovation and accountability, according to policy leaders from the Information Technology Industry Council, who also expressed concerns about how the federal government intends to use the Defense Production Act under the EO and possible departures from a risk-based approach.
