Industry group highlights technical infeasibility of watermarks in criticizing EU AI Act

The European Union’s new AI Office should hold off on implementing its suggested watermarking requirements for certain kinds of content, according to the Center for Data Innovation which criticized as knowingly unworkable provisions in the EU’s recently adopted AI Act aimed at helping to detect synthetic content.
