Google rejects as ‘unclear’ narrowed complaint in AI copyright infringement case

Google is asking a federal district court to dismiss, again, a revised lawsuit accusing the company of violating copyright protections when it scraped the internet for information to train Bard, its generative artificial intelligence tool.

The media giant says the narrowed complaint is still a “puzzle” that does not merit Google or the court trying “to figure out what is relevant and how it all is supposed to fit together.”
