GitHub, Microsoft deny ‘unlawful conduct’ in AI copyright infringement case

GitHub and Microsoft, in separate responses, deny “unlawful conduct” allegations by class-action plaintiffs in a revised complaint accusing the companies of violating copyright protections and terms for licensing source code to train an AI-powered tool to assist in developing code.
