GAO issues first in series to upgrade lawmakers’ understanding of gen AI

A new report from the Government Accountability Office, Congress’ investigative arm, offers lawmakers insights into how generative artificial intelligence works and examples of uses spanning different industries, as part of an ongoing effort to deepen understanding of the technology on Capitol Hill.
