Free-market advocates praise Montana AI law, after ‘kill switch’ provisions are nixed

Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte (R) has signed legislation into law that enshrines a right to compute in the state’s constitution, spurring plaudits from free-market groups which succeeded in pulling a controversial shut-down mechanism from its requirements for AI developers.
