FDD asks Trump to build on export control rules to curtail risk of AI bioweapon

The Trump administration should leverage work started under the previous administration’s Bureau of Industry and Security -- particularly rules requiring a license for the export or transfer of key protein-analysis technology -- to keep China from using artificial intelligence to advance biological warfare, according to Foundation for Defense of Democracies.
