FCC issues draft proposal for regulating AI in political ads, sets comment deadline

The Federal Communications Commission has released its controversial proposal for labeling content generated by artificial intelligence for political advertising, in a Federal Register notice that sets a Sept. 4 deadline for public comments and details the commission’s justification for taking the unprecedented move to address AI threats to elections.
