FCC examines state and local permitting rules with implications for AI deployment

The Federal Communications Commission has launched a proceeding aimed at clearing away state and local regulatory obstacles to the buildout of wireless communications infrastructure, noting that such rules could also hinder artificial intelligence deployment and impede the use of AI to optimize operations of mobile networks.
